Student Theatre at Glasgow

Student Theatre at Glasgow is a society based at Glasgow University, dedicated to producing stage plays which are acted, directed and managed by students in Glasgow. The society strives to produce interesting and entertaining theatre whilst providing a lively social network of like minded people.
Throughout the year STaG put on small and large scale shows, welcoming classic texts as well as warmly encouraging new-writing. The society focuses on all aspects of theatre production be it acting, directing, writing, design or tech.
Every year STaG hold their ‘New Works Festival,’ showcasing four newly written or devised plays. The pieces are judged by a selection of invited judges from within the theatre industry and the winner gains the opportunity to take their show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
This year STaG returns to the Festival Fringe with ‘A Stone’s Throw,’ its first ever production aimed at children and families.
